Poltergeist Socks It To Norwegian Family

The Folstads weren’t expecting to share their utility room with a supernatural boarder when they moved into a refurbished house in Brekstad earlier this year. Now, their daily lives are filled with mystery thanks to a poltergeist. Some of these disturbed otherworldly entities can be violent or mischievous. They take pleasure in destroying items or throwing them across rooms. However, the invisible force inhabiting 4350 Tvedestrand appears to be of the harmless sort - even helpful.

Arnbjorg Folstad, mother of Gudrid and Jodis says she first noticed something odd was occurring while putting away the laundry. “I always bundle the socks together in pairs. This time, when I took them out of the drier I found three of each kind!” Arnbjorg says she is used to socks going missing in the wash but has never heard of them multiplying.

This type of supernatural manifestation is called an apport - the sudden appearance of an object from an unknown source. It usually involves flowers or coins. Paranormal investigators are excited at this new wrinkle and have dubbed the site of this poltergeist activity “The House of Hosiery”.

When asked if she found the phenomenon disturbing, Mrs. Folstad responded in the negative. “It doesn’t bother me. I just wish the little geist would create some socks that aren’t worn at the heel already - save me some darning.”
