Details of Haunted Place :
A Terrible Crime Has Left Its Spiritual Mark At The Moore Home
In Villisca, Iowa, one of the scariest places in the country can be found. It is the Moor home and on June 10, 1912, it was the site of one of the most notorious unsolved murders in the United States. On that day, six members of the Moore family, and two houseguests, were brutally murdered with an axe by someone who was never caught. Needless to say, those killed in cold blood have lingered around their former home, haunting it to this day.
Countless paranormal investigators have visited the site to see paranormal activity happening all around them. The Moore House is a big tourist attraction for the city, and many tours have been cut short when lamps begin falling, objects begin flying and ladders begin moving. One of the creepiest parts of the home is the voices of children that can be heard.
One well-known story is of a DJ from Des Moines, Iowa who decided to stay in the house overnight for his show. The DJ woke up hearing the voices of children around him, in a room where he was the only occupant. The owner of the home, who offers tours now, even had his nephew flee the house while putting up wallpaper in the room where two young girls were murdered. Even the closet door in that room will open and close by itself.
Simply put, this is one haunted house that only the bravest can spend a night in.
