Details of Haunted Place :
The White Witch of Rose Hall
Jamaica has its own resident ghost and haunted location, and it comes in the form of Annie Palmer and the Rose Hall Plantation in Montego Bay. According to legend, Annie was the wife of the owner of the plantation who arrived with him in 1820. Soon after arriving, Annie’s husband died, and the following years saw many more of her husbands die. Many believed that Annie practiced voodoo and the slaves under her control reported that she would take male slaves to her bed and then murder them the next day.
During the slave uprising that happened in the 1830s, Annie was murdered in her bed.
These days, tourists visit the house to see the places that Annie is reported to haunt. The most common place where Annie is seen is her bedroom, where she would kill her lovers. Underground tunnels that are said to be haunted run under the house and mysterious bloodstains are sometimes found throughout the house.
Annie Palmer has become so famous in Jamaica that she has become a part of the folklore of the nation and many psychics come to the home in order to try and contact Annie in an effort to find out why she killed all those men, which many believe she did out of boredom.
