Meaning of Term : A method used by spiritual mediums to receive communications from the spirit world. A spiritual being may control a medium who has entered a trance-like state, causing him or her to translate information given by the spirit into writing. The medium is unaware of the content upon awakening from the trance. (See Channeling)
