Meaning of Term : The GhostTrap was invented by GITS (Ghost Investigation Team – Scotland) in 1898. A very simple device it works in a similar way to the common mousetrap – IE put a lump of cheese in the trap as bait to attract and catch the ‘victim’. However the GhostTrap is somewhat more sophisticated than a mouse trap – for one it does not chop off the head of the trapped spirit – instead it captures them within an Ecoplasmic Chamber. This allows our investigators to examine and sometimes even ‘tag’ them so that their movements can be monitored (in the way that birds and animals are often tagged). NOTE: No ghost were injured, insulted or eaten during any of these investigations.
