Meaning of Term : Invented in 2006 by Poolin Yerleg of GITS (Ghost Investigation Team – Scotland) the Wheackter is a device that will point to a disturbance in spirit energy. It works in a similar way as a compass points North due to the electrometric field – the Wheackter can detect the Ghulable Energy radiated by ghosts. The first Wheackters were massive devices that had to be transported on special carriers but the latest version is no bigger that the average garbage bin. Ghost Hunters have used Wheackter in many locations around the world where ghostly presences were so low that no one even realised they were there. Inventor Poolin comments, “Aye man – we have found ghosts in the most unlikely of places. Only recently we had to have a whole biscuit factory closed down when we discover there was the ghost of an Elizabethan soldier trapped in some of the machinery.” The name Wheackter is believed to have come from the loud “Whea whea noice the device makes.”
